: happy and lively in a way that is attractive

Y’all have no idea how long I have been waiting to post this picture - wanting to post this picture. I was telling Kourtney the other day that my photoshoot with was literally one of my best ever. Really because I can remember my excitement at the bomb photos I was getting, the lighting, and Kourtney’s co-operation with everything.

She’s lively. Her roommate Shanika is lively. Both of them together are lively. Their squad (Monica, Courtney, and Allyson) is lively. Throw them all together and it’s a party.

You’ve heard it said at least somewhere that we were not simply meant to exist, but to L I V E.

Many people take this to mean many different things.

The Merriam-Webster definition says, “happy and lively in a way that is attractive” and that’s how Christians should be. Like that is the definition right there. People should see our joy, happiness, everything about us, and see that we’re different.

And that is what should attract them to Jesus.

But as individuals, how are we living each day? Are we worrying about tomorrow? Wishing we had more? Looking into the future instead of what is right in front of us?

Because T H A T is no way to live. In fact, it’s the opposite of living.

Are you alive? Really living? Because that is what makes life worth it. Not merely existing into the next day. Drifting in and out of as if we were in a coma.

For some people this means doing what makes them truly happy. Ex. Photography, art, math (idk how), or sports.

As a Christian, it means living life as Christs asks us too. Because that’s where we find life.

Eyes wide open, hands in the air, through life’s ups and downs.

Does this mean we’ll always be happy? No. Totally not real.

But can we show ourselves to be real, authentic, and truthful so that others no that we’re not fake like the rest of the world.

Because people L O V E real over fake, all day every day.

P.S. …as previously stated this is my friend Kourtney. She’s from North Alabama, a Computer Science major who’s also in the Famous Maroon Band, and wants to work for the NSA.

She loves all things hippy and could possibly be convinced she should’ve been born in the sixties/seventies.

She’s also the B E S T Snapchat streak keeper ever…B E S T.

Fun fact: For our next photoshoot, I’m going to see if I can make the sequel better than the original. But we all know…that’s hardly ever possible. Laying down on the road was also her idea.
